Memorial Tournament

Matthew thrived and participated in all sports. Matthew enjoyed the camaraderie, sportsmanship and competition. Matthew also appreciated the equality on the field and the fact players were judged by their ability. Knowing this, Matthew’s friends, former classmates and the community gathered to honor his life and legacy by participating in an annual memorial softball game. The inaugural game was August 2014. Over the years, the memorial softball game grew into a yearly tournament enjoyed by the entire community.
